2009-01-06 Helicopters
Transcending the guitar-based rock of their past, Helicopters have driven into the land of electronic pop and come out the other side quite interesting to categorize: too rock to be The Postal Service, too pop to be Beck, too modern to be 80fs, too happy to be Radiohead. Their debut album 'How to Fake Fall Asleep' is a masterpiece of lush pop, sonic experimentation, and catchy-as-hell melodies that defies comparison and demands attention.
